After saying “it’s about consistency” regarding her team’s two-game winning streak, Racing Louisville FC head coach Bev Yanez has delivered just that, making zero changes to her starting lineup for Saturday’s rescheduled 1 p.m. game versus Seattle Reign FC.
Saturday marks the the first time this season that Yanez has fielded the same starting 11 in back-to-back games. The last time Racing fielded an unchanged lineup was September 28, 2024, at Utah Royals FC.
Jordyn Bloomer returns in goal after posting a five-save shutout in last weekend’s win over Gotham FC, marking the first clean sheet of her NWSL career. Bloomer was an NWSL Player of the Week finalist as the result of the performance having taken home Save of the Week honors a week prior.
In front of her, the defensive line of Courtney Petersen, Arin Wright, Ellie Jean and Lauren Milliet start together for the fourth consecutive game and fifth overall this season.
The midfield trio of Taylor Flint, Savannah DeMelo and Katie O’Kane return after combining for four or Racing’s five shots on target versus Gotham.
The front three of Janine Sonis, Emma Sears and Kayla Fischer start together for the fourth straight match and sixth overall. The trio have six goals and two assists among them.
Last week, Racing used two substitutes in the win over Gotham as rookies Sarah Weber and Ella Hase provided fresh legs to close out the win. They headline an unchanged group of reserves that also includes three other rookies as well as veterans such as Uchenna Kanu and Marisa DiGrande.
