
A touchdown and extra point of goals helped Racing Louisville FC’s USL W League squad to a 7-0 victory over Kings Hammer FC on Wednesday at the Lynn Family Sports Vision & Training Center.
Racing improved its record to 3-0 on the nation’s premier pre-professional women’s soccer circuit, winning each match so far this year by a margin of at least three goals, conceding zero.
University of Kentucky forward Jordyn Rhodes led the first-half attack on Wednesday in a game played at the Lynn Family Sports Vision & Training Center. Sam Agresti rebounded in her 15th-minute shot. She then assisted Peyton Linnehan in the 22nd minute. Rhodes captured one herself when she was set up by Linnehan in the 30th minute.
In the second half, Ella Sanchez (65th minute) converted a penalty. Caitlin Chase scored twice in the 82nd and 88th minutes. Makayla DeMelo assisted Chase’s second goal of the match and the 85th-minute finish from Betsy Huckaby.
With a roster comprised of college standouts and Racing youth academy talents, the club is three games into a 10-match W League campaign. Next up, Louisville travels to Indianapolis to face Indy Eleven at 7 p.m. Friday, June 2. The club returns home for its return leg against Indy at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 6.
