Led by Clara Robbins’ hat trick, Racing Louisville FC’s W League team earned its second straight victory Wednesday when defeating Kings Hammer FC by a 6-0 score at the Lynn Family Sports Vision & Training Center.
The Florida State University midfielder scored her first goal in the fourth minute, followed by a goal from Isabella Beletic five minutes later. Louisville’s Maisie Whitsett and Patricia Ward both snagged goals in the second half.
Robbins completed her hat trick late in the going. She connected with a cross from Whitsett, then followed up on a deflected shot on goal to make it three on the night.
Combining on the clean sheet were goalkeepers Morgan Messner, who was subbed out hurt in the first half, and Macy Enneking.
With this result, Racing’s USL W League team — a pre-professional group composed of college and youth academy standouts — improved to 3-1-1 in its inaugural season.
Racing will be back in action on Sunday, June 5, when hosting Kalamazoo FC. Kickoff at Lynn Family Sports Vision & Training Center is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
