All five of the Racing players on loan saw action this past weekend in Australia.
Leading into the holidays, two of the four clubs featuring Racing players are in the top four of the A-League Women table. As it stands, first-place Western United (Hillary Beall and Jess McDonald) and third-place Melbourne City (Emina Ekic) would qualify for the Grand Finals in April. Melbourne Victory (Alex Chidiac) is currently in fifth place, just outside the final qualification spot.
Here’s how they did last weekend …
Hillary Beall
Beall made five saves, including a 54th-minute penalty stop to help Western United to a 3-1 win over Melbourne Victory.
Emina Ekic
Ekic scored Melbourne City’s lone goal in its 3-1 loss to Western United. That was her third goal in as many games.
Alex Chidiac
Chidiac logged an eighth-minute assist in helping Melbourne Victory to a 5-2 win over the Newcastle Jets.
Jordyn Bloomer
In her fourth straight start, Bloomer made five saves in Western Sydney’s 1-0 defeat to Brisbane Roar FC.
Jess McDonald
McDonald played the full 90 minutes in Western United’s 3-1 victory over Melbourne City, helping the team to its fourth win in four matches to start its inaugural season.
