Three of the five Racing players on loan saw action over the weekend in Australia.
Goalkeeper Hillary Beall and forward Jess McDonald, who both play for Western United, did not have a match this weekend.
Here’s how they did …
Alex Chidiac
The Australian international scored her first goal of the A-League season, an olimpico, in Melbourne Victory’s 3-0 win over Perth Glory. Her 75th-minute corner kick curved into the back of the net.
Emina Ekic
The Louisville native had another standout performance in Melbourne City’s 5-1 win over Newcastle Jets. Her 27th-minute corner kick set up Melbourne’s second goal of the night, and her 29th-minute blocked effort was eventually finished by teammate Byleeh Henry. Ekic capped off her Player of the Match performance in the 81st minute when she earned, and then converted, a penalty kick.
Jordyn Bloomer
In her third-straight start, Bloomer made four saves in Western Sydney Wanderers’ 1-0 loss to Adelaide United, only being beaten by a seventh-minute penalty.
