Racing Louisville FC head coach has made three changes to her starting lineup ahead of Sunday’s 5 p.m. kickoff at Gotham FC, selecting the same starting XI that defeated the Orlando Pride last week.
Ella Hase, Katie O’Kane and Courtney Petersen each return to the lineup, replacing Makenna Morris, Macey Hodge and Quincy McMahon respectively.
The rest of Racing’s lineup remains unchanged from Wednesday’s 1-0 loss at the Washington Spirit.
Jordyn Bloomer starts in goal after making four saves to keep Louisville in Wednesday’s game. Her 25 saves this season are second only to Denver’s Abby Smith (26).
Arin Wright captains the team and anchors the backline — her third straight start after missing the opening of the season with an injury. Ellie Jean will be her center back partner. Lauren Milliet starts at right back opposite Petersen, who starts at left back.
O’Kane returns to a midfield that includes Taylor Flint and Kayla Fischer. Flint continues to lead the NWSL in interceptions. She led Louisville in tackles won on Wednesday, and also rallied Racing’s only shot on target.
Fischer finished Wednesday with one shot, moving from the midfield to forward at halftime.
O’Kane came off the bench on Wednesday to generate two chances, per Opta, in 45 minutes — most of any Racing player on the night.
In the attacking line, Hase joins stat leaders Sarah Weber and United States Women’s National Team regular Emma Sears. Weber leads Louisville with three goals, while Sears leads the team with three assists this season.
Morris, Hodge and McMahon are among the available substitutes. Rachel Hill is also in the gameday squad, after not being selected on Wednesday.
