Racing Louisville’s June 15 match against reigning NWSL champion NJ/NY Gotham FC has been moved up to a 12 p.m. ET kickoff time, with ESPN now set to broadcast the game to a national television audience.
The match was originally set for 1 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
The game will serve as Racing Louisville’s third annual Ali Day as part of the Ali Center’s Ali Festival, which is designed to celebrate the life and legacy of The Greatest and Louisville’s own, Muhammad Ali, and the work of the nonprofit Center. More details on the celebrations around the game will be released at a later date.
Moving to ESPN makes the June 15 match the third ESPN game of the season for Racing and the first of two in June. Louisville’s June 29 game against Bay FC at Lynn Family Stadium is also set for ESPN. ESPN+ will carry a stream of those games, and ESPN Deportes will broadcast them in Spanish. Racing’s third ESPN game of the year will be the season finale at San Diego on Nov. 3.
The Worldwide Leader in Sports is a new partner this year with the National Women’s Soccer League, with 17 regular-season game broadcasts and three more in the NWSL Playoffs.
