Goalkeeper Hillary Beall has agreed to a new contract with Racing Louisville and will once again join Australian team Western United on loan, Racing announced Tuesday.
Beall signed a one-year contract with Louisville through 2024 with a club option for the 2025 campaign. The 24-year-old will depart for Australia in the coming days to play in the A-League Women season. The loan deal with Western United runs through August 2024 but includes terms to allow early termination of the agreement around the completion of the Australian season in April.
“We are very excited to have Hillary in Louisville into the future,” said Racing Louisville general manager Ryan Dell. “The opportunity to continue to develop and get meaningful minutes in Australia will further her long-term growth.”
“I am grateful to be signing a new contract here in Louisville,” Beall said. “My experience here the past two years has allowed me to grow and develop as a person and player thanks to everything and everyone we have here and the support of this great club and city. I am happy to continue to be a part of the club, and I look forward to the bright future ahead.”
“Hillary’s experience with Western United last year was great, and I know this go around will just build on that,” said Racing goalkeepers coach Sergio Gonzalez. “She is focused on developing and growing as a goalkeeper, and she works hard to get better every day. I’m looking forward to watching her progress this winter.”
Beall originally signed a one-year rookie contract with Racing during the 2022 preseason after a standout career at the University of Michigan. The California native has spent the past two seasons backing up Racing’s No. 1, Katie Lund.
The loan to Western United is a return for Beall, who starred over 18 matches en route to the A-League Women Goalkeeper of the Year award. Beall posted five clean sheets and made 61 saves in helping Western United reach the A-League Women Grand Final in its first year of competition as a club.
