The club’s vice-captain appeared in every Racing match, starting 23. Sonis scored three times and led the team with five assists. She was named to the NWSL Best XI in October/November.
2024
Having joined the club in August following a trade with the Portland Thorns, Sonis (née Beckie) started in eight of her 10 appearances. The winger scored the game-winning goal in a Sept. 14 victory over Angel City FC and delivered the game-winning assist from a corner kick to Taylor Flint in a 1-0 win over Portland on Oct. 19.
Before Racing
Over multiple seasons with the NWSL’s Houston Dash, Portland Thorns and the club now known as NJ/NY Gotham FC, Beckie rang up eight goals and seven assists in 86 games. At Manchester City, Beckie had 12 goals and 12 assists in 57 appearances across all competitions, including six goals and an assist in eight UEFA Women’s Champions League games. Her eight assists in the 2019-20 season tied for the most in England’s Women’s Super League. She helped Man City reach its first UWCL quarterfinal in 2021
In 2022, Beckie won the NWSL championship with Portland. She won two FA Cups and two League Cups in England with Manchester City.
International
The winger has made more than appearances for the Canadian national team, tallying 36 goals and 21 assists through October 2025.
