Second-year Racing Louisville FC goalkeeper Maddie Prohaska earns the starting nod Saturday night, the second of her professional career, as Racing takes on expansion side Denver Summit FC at Centennial Stadium in its road finale.
Prohaska has made two appearances in net for Louisville this year, including a start. That lone start came in the reverse fixture against Denver back on May 29 — a 1-0 win for the Summit at Lynn Family Stadium. She recorded four saves on six shots in her two games played.
A 23-year-old Auburn University product, Prohaska moved to Racing from Seattle Reign FC via trade in January after spending her rookie campaign in Seattle. At the college level, she made 96 starts for the Tigers across five seasons, setting a school record for career shutouts (36).
The introduction of Prohaska between the sticks represents one of four lineup changes from last week’s 2-1 defeat at Boston Legacy FC.
U.S. Women’s National Team forward Emma Sears returns to the starting group after serving a substitute role in her first match back post-international break. Sears, who is the club’s leader in shots on target (22), will provide the threat in attack alongside Kayla Fischer and Sarah Weber.
Fischer scored Racing’s lone goal at Boston — her eighth of the season — to bring her goal involvement total up to 12. The next goal or assist by Fischer or Sears will set a new single-season club record for goal contributions. This is Weber’s sixth straight start for Louisville, dating back to Sept. 11. She is also set to make her 50th career NWSL appearance in lavender.
Fresh off signing an extension through 2028, Mirann Gacioch is set for her 16th start as a rookie Saturday. She will be accompanied in defense by club captain Arin Wright — one of nine NWSL players with at least 130 clearances made in 2026. Quincy McMahon rejoins the lineup, providing width at the back opposite Makenna Morris.
Lauren Milliet, a native of Colorado, keeps her place in the Racing midfield alongside Macey Hodge and Katie O’Kane, who slots back into the first XI as the final change. Hodge won a game-high 11 duels versus the Legacy.
Milliet has been a key orchestrator of Louisville’s forward play, ranking in the NWSL’s top five in chances created (25) since the beginning of August. O’Kane and Milliet are the only two Racing field players with at least 2,200 minutes played this year.
The dynamic 17-year-old Audrey McKeen is among the list of available substitutes for head coach Bev Yanez. Others include Macy Philippus, who made her first start for the club last time out, and loanee Jordan Fusco. Philippus finished tied for the team lead in final third entries at Boston.
The match will air nationally on ION, with a Racing win or draw officially ending Denver’s chances of securing a playoff spot.
