Back in Butchertown for the first time in 17 days, Racing Louisville FC head coach Bev Yanez opts for one lineup change as midfielder Macey Hodge reclaims her place to take on Angel City FC at 6:30 p.m. ET Saturday at Lynn Family Stadium.
Hodge, who has been sidelined recently due to injury, last slotted into the Louisville starting XI on July 26 — the most recent meeting between Racing and Angel City out in Los Angeles. She made her return to the pitch after more than a month last week, coming on for the final six minutes of the 3-2 defeat at San Diego Wave FC.
The former ACFC midfielder takes the place of Taylor Flint, who misses out Saturday with a foot injury sustained versus San Diego. Hodge played for Angel City last year — her rookie campaign — before moving to Racing via a trade in January. She is set to make her 10th start for Louisville this season, surpassing her total from 2025 with ACFC.
Fresh off earning a spot on the league’s August XI, Lauren Milliet joins Hodge and Katie O’Kane to form the trio in the middle of the park. Milliet finished August with one goal and five assists, bringing her goal-contribution tally to a season-high nine. Her lone goal in August came against the Wave last Friday — an opener set up by Kayla Fischer.
O’Kane led Racing with nine crosses in San Diego. For the year, she leads the team in that category with 83 crosses, which is 30 more than her next closest teammate.
Fischer and Emma Sears continue as Racing’s dual forward threat. Fischer’s assist to Milliet last week was her 10th goal involvement this season, placing her among just 17 players in the NWSL with at least 10.
Sears, like Milliet, earned a place on the league’s Best XI for August after producing five goals and two assists across six games. The U.S. Women’s National Team attacker has combined for three goals and one assist in her last two home matches.
Captain Arin Wright, Ellie Jean and Mirann Gacioch form the back three once again. Gacioch recorded six possessions won in the last game, the second-highest on the team. Jean leads Racing with an 82.4% pass accuracy, the highest among players with at least 300 completed passes.
Quincy McMahon retains her spot in one of the two wingback roles, opposite Ella Hase. Saturday will be McMahon’s 15th start of 2026.
Anchoring things in net for Louisville is Jordyn Bloomer, who posted seven saves against San Diego — her most since April 24 versus the Orlando Pride. Bloomer registered five saves in the July win over Angel City.
Makenna Morris headlines the list of available substitutes, returning to the team sheet after missing the trip to San Diego. Morris scored her first Racing goal in her last appearance for the club at Chicago Stars FC. Maja Lardner, who propelled Louisville past ACFC in the first encounter with a brace, also starts on the bench.
The league’s lone Saturday contest will be nationally broadcast on ION, while fans can also listen to the game on Sports Talk 790AM or 790louisville.com.
