Racing Louisville FC captain Arin Wright is set for a return to the starting XI, as head coach Bev Yanez makes six changes for Saturday’s return to Lynn Family Stadium against Chicago Stars FC.
Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET, with CBS Sports Network carrying the national broadcast.
While it’s six changes from the midweek loss at the Kansas City Current, Yanez names nearly the same lineup that beat Angel City FC last weekend, with only two differences: Emma Sears and Taylor Flint.
Wright, who missed out Wednesday in Kansas City, slots into the center of Racing’s backline for the matchup against her former club. The Kentucky native played eight years (2015-2023) in Chicago, registering over 12,000 minutes to go along with two goals and 12 assists in NWSL regular season play. With the starting nod Saturday, Wright will move within four starts of 200 for her NWSL career.
She’ll be joined in the backline by Ellie Jean and rookie standout Mirann Gacioch, one of five players from Wednesday’s lineup to stay put. This will be Gacioch’s fifth appearance since the beginning of July after collecting just one prior to that. Quincy McMahon and Makenna Morris provide the width at the back, taking up the left and right wingback roles, respectively. Morris is only five career appearances away from an even 50.
Jordyn Bloomer will remain in net again for her 16th start of 2026. With five saves midweek, she moved into the league’s top three in total saves, per Opta.
The club’s leading chance creator this year, Katie O’Kane, makes her way back into the midfield, linking up with club original Lauren Milliet and Flint to make up the trio in the middle of the park. Flint compiled seven interceptions last time out, pushing her league-leading total up to 51 on the season. Impressively, Milliet is the only Louisville player who has appeared as a starter in each game so far this year.
The frontline features Sears and Kayla Fischer, two Ohio State University products with at least five goal contributions to their name in 2026.
In two of Racing’s last three wins over Chicago, Sears has bagged the game-winning goal. Notably both came inside the opening 30 minutes. Fischer also has a goal on record versus the Stars back in August 2024 — a 3-1 win for Louisville.
Last Sunday’s hero at Angel City, Maja Lardner, will start on the bench again, along with Sarah Weber, one of three players with at least three goals for Racing this season. Other reinforcements include Audrey McKeen and Avery Ciorbu, both fresh off first professional starts Wednesday night.
