Mirann Gacioch will make her professional debut in Friday’s home opener, as Racing Louisville FC hosts the Washington Spirit in a playoff rematch.
Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. For tickets and more information, visit RacingLouFC.com/opener.
Gacioch replaces Quincy McMahon, who is not in the squad Friday due to injury. A rookie from Ohio State, Gacioch appeared in 83 games for the Buckeyes, including 81 starts. She played every minute of each of the last 41 matches of her college career, including every match of the 2025 season. She tallied five assists over her four seasons in Columbus.
The rest of Racing Louisville’s lineup remains unchanged from last week’s 2-1 loss at the North Carolina Courage.
Sarah Weber starts up top after scoring the lone goal of Racing’s season opener. Emma Sears, who delivered the assist on the goal, starts on one attacking flank, with Ella Hase on the other.
Kayla Fischer starts in the midfield for the second consecutive week, in an attacking role. Katie O’Kane and Taylor Flint will supplement her.
Gacioch joins a backline that includes Courtney Petersen and Ellie Jean at center back. Vice captain Lauren Milliet will start at right back and wear the captain’s armband, with Arin Wright missing due to injury.
Jordyn Bloomer, who won Save of the Week for a double-stop last week at North Carolina, starts between the posts.
On the bench, Rachel Hill is available for selection for the first time this season after missing out last week. Defender Macy Blackburn and forwards Taylor White and Audrey McKeen, who each made their professional debuts last week, are also available.
Among players who didn’t see action last week, Avery Ciorbu and Natalie Mitchell would be making their professional debuts if they see action.
