Racing Louisville interim general manager Caitlyn Milby met with reporters Wednesday to discuss her new role with the club. The operations director for the past three years, Milby has been working this offseason with head coach Bev Yanez and the technical staff to build the roster for the 2025 campaign.
“The league has a lot of nuances that it’s very difficult to come into as someone outside of the league, so (former GM Ryan Dell) and I worked really closely,” Milby said. “I learned a lot, got to see a lot, so it’s just been, with anything, it’s a learning curve, but just being around the league, you really start to pick up stuff quickly. The little things that I would do in my director of ops role, just between visas, immigration, getting (players) here, understanding their contracts, so they deal so heavily with that. It hasn’t been a massive shift. I’m not going to lie and say it hasn’t been a shift, but it hasn’t been anything crazy.”
