In the year of the Kentucky Derby’s 150th running, Nike unveiled Racing Louisville FC’s 2024 Winner’s Circle Kit, threads designed as a celebration of the city’s cultural connection to horse racing.
Inspired by traditional jockey silks, the new Winner’s Circle Kit features a lavender diamond pattern with an argyle mint overlay with a lavender collar and sleeves. Racing’s crest with four black fleur-de-lis is in lavender, as are the shorts accompanying the tops.
The Winner’s Circle Kit will serve as Racing’s primary uniform for the next three seasons. Nike also introduced the secondary Gradient Kit, a shade of midnight violet, that will be the club’s road kit for the 2024 campaign. The kit features a gradient shift from dark to light using club colors, speaking to the strength of the collective.
In addition to a bespoke creative design, the updated matchday kits for the NWSL’s 12th campaign also feature Nike DRI-FIT ADV technology, which provides reinforcement, mobility and breathability when and where it’s needed most.
“Louisville has a reputation of greatness, whether it’s at Churchill Downs, the legend of Muhammad Ali or the success of soccer in our city,” said Rachel Regenauer, the brand manager for Soccer Holdings, LLC, the parent company of Racing Louisville. “The goal for Racing Louisville FC is always to exceed expectations. We wanted this kit to tie into the greatness that already lives in this city. The lavender and white diamonds remind horse racing fans of a popular silk pattern worn by jockeys. However, this city is also known for its uniqueness, so a layer of mint fleur-de-lis pulled from the Racing crest and is woven into the pattern. The Winner’s Circle Kit represents this city and this club, both built for greatness.”
Replica Winner’s Circle and Gradient kits are on sale online at lousoccerstore.com and at Lynn Family Stadium’s team store, open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
The new kits once again carry primary sponsorship from Louisville-based GE Appliances. Two other valued and returning Racing Louisville partners are featured on the kit: PNC above the name plate and Toyota on the sleeve.
“The new kits are incredible,” said Pat Denbow, vice president of partnerships. “Our kits are our identity. We are thrilled with the design and execution – and we are proud to have GE Appliances once again front and center. Their commitment to our team and in our community is unmatched. We also have a tremendous amount of appreciation for the support shown to us by founding partners PNC and Toyota.”
