While Racing Louisville has begun its preparation for the 2023 season, our four players on loan in Australia continued action last week in A League Women competition.
Here’s how they did …
Jess McDonald
In her final match with Western United before returning to Louisville, McDonald went the full 90 minutes in the club’s 2-0 win over Brisbane Roar FC. The forward played every minute in her nine-match loan spell with the new Australian club, helping United to an 8-1 start. She found the back of the net twice, including the club’s first goal, and registered an assist. She will be joining her Racing teammates in Louisville in the coming weeks.
Alex Chidiac
Continuing her excellent run of form, Chidiac logged a goal and assist in Melbourne Victory’s 2-1 win over Adelaide United.
Hillary Beall
The goalkeeper logged five saves and a clean sheet in the club’s 2-0 win over Brisbane Roar FC. This marked Beall’s second straight and fourth overall clean sheet of the A-League Women season.
Jordyn Bloomer
Earning her second shutout of the season, Bloomer made three saves in Western Sydney Wanderers’ 0-0 draw against Melbourne Victory last Wednesday. Over the weekend, Bloomer made two saves in Western Sydney’s 1-0 defeat to Melbourne City.
